Arctic Sustainability Group obtains an environmental permit for a land-based fish farm in Storfors, Sweden

June 25th, 2022. Storfors, Sweden. Arctic Sustainability Group, a company working with sustainable food tech and land-based aquaculture, has obtained the necessary environmental permit for building a land-based fish farm in Storfors, Sweden.

The permit allows for the operation of a land-based fish farm using up to 2 400 tons per year of fish feed. Further, the permit allows for integrated on-site fish cleaning and slaughter as well as 500 ton per year of on-site oxygen (O2) production.

The approval follows the system design that the Company has developed, meeting the stringent and highly set requirements of the Swedish environmental protection laws.

“We are very pleased that we have now obtained this important permit, and that our own system design meets the highest standards of environmental requirements,” said Dr. David Stenman, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Arctic Sustainability Group. “When the system is up and running we will begin marketing and sales of this highly sustainable turn-key aquafarm concept for aquafarmers worldwide.”

The Company expects to begin construction on the land at the beginning of 2023.
